A nice trend i picked up on of a new longer style of skirt, the pleated straight or A-line shape is very flattering if balanced out with very nipped in high waist. 

Issey Miyake, PFW.

The disparate elements of this collection create an overall look of organised chaos, I think the looks separately work, with trademark manipulated fabrics and bold, graphic prints on varied silhouettes. The black and white prints have a nice painted quality.

Manish Arora, PFW.

I think this collection is quite over the top only due to it’s eclectic mix of alot of element’s from the quite graphic bright colours to the intricate embellishments. The sculptural elements are really interesting they are almost like full body piece’s of jewelry. 

Gareth Pugh, Paris fashion week.

This year Gareth Pugh went down his usual innovative path of presentation, as he presented a film installation instead of a catwalk show. The film was created by Ruth Hogben, I found a copy of the film which i will post next. 

The collection is interesting it is his rather futuristic conceptual creation’s but i think it is a bit more of a wearable approach. The silhouettes are strong and sculptural, with very definate structure because of the panelling and sharp angular shoulders.

Barbara Bui, Paris fashion week.

This collection has a strong aviation inspiration with the jackets and pocket detailing being very apparent. An aviation look has been balanced out with the sportswear detailing and cuts.

Dusan PFW.

Beautiful understated style, very androgynous because of the use of masculine tailoring and slouched relaxed silhouettes. Nice clean and crisp shapes and a subtle natural colour palette.

Guy Laroche, Paris fashion week.

I think this collection has some interesting elements. I like the sleeveless trench-coat dress. The whole collection has nice clean tailoring and forms, it’s not a particularly exciting collection but it is pretty.

Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Paris Fashion Week.

This collection has a nice colour palette of the soft pastel colours against the black and white. There is a quite graphic clean cut look to the collection because of the panelling and colour blocking, really like the flat lapel detailing on some of the pieces like the cropped top and dress above, they are like masculine detail’s made feminine.

Balenciaga, Paris Fashion Week.

I love the bold prints with the spot and stripes and dogtooth, really nice with the mix of different fabrics, sheers are present again, and i think with the high sheen of the sequins and more luxurious fabrics balance the collection nicely. The shaping of the garment’s is interesting with quite sharp shapes on the shaping of the shirt’s making the piece’s stand out.

Dries Van Noten, Paris Fashion Week.

This collection has oversized slouchy silhouette’s and some quite masculine elements to the tailoring but remains very feminine due to the fabrics and nice prints and a bit of sparkle. The skirt that looks like its just a shirts tied around her waist, is a really interesting piece of construction and pattern cutting.

Anne Valerie Hash, Paris fashion week.

A beautiful collection using lots of sheer and luxurious fabrics and a lovely peachy soft colour pallette. Some interesting fabric manipulations and finishes, i think the strips of fabric in the sweetheart detailing over the bust line are really interesting.
